The Easter celebrations were an opportunity to make a trip to Rome. I shall not dwell on it any more than what was given to Vatican City in order to retain only a few images nella città eterna wandering .
Roman Holiday! Sure, why not think of Audrey Hepburn who actually launched Salvatore Ferragamo the brand through other ballerinas and strappy footwear she wears throughout the film to wander the streets in the disjoint blocks or enclosing Gregory Peck riding a Vespa traveling at breakneck speed.
After moving in a Roman palace to pieces-and room-size and decoration imperial improbably, a visit was necessary, for any spiritual elevation to St. Louis of the French recently renovated, not only to admire the marble but especially for the three works by Caravaggio spent it home in the life of Saint Matthew. It was so interesting to put these three paintings resonate with the paintings currently on display at the Scuderie del Quirinale .
But hey, let pictorial art and spirituality aside to return to the primary purpose of this blog: the futile. Roman Holiday ... Roman windows, there is only one step to the Via dei Condotti which concentrates the signs of the most prestigious luxury. The packed crowd of the day is difficult to split, I preferred to leave enchanted by the discovery night showcases. Most of them are classical and without charm. Finally, I note only that the staircase led poppy Louis Vuitton, Fendi bags, but most importantly, outweighing all others, hands down by the quality and originality, the windows of Hermes still decorated with the theme Carnival ... animals, showcases perhaps inspired by the work of Saint-Saens or other master of the story: fox, frog, horse, cat and rooster kicked all of folded paper ...
